Patricia López-Caballero

Patricia López Caballero was born in Spain and obtained a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM, Spain) in 2017. During this period she had the opportunity to do an internship in Synthelia Organics S. L., working in the optimization of flux reactions for creating molecules as drugs. Furthermore, she realized the Final Degree Project at the Institute of Medical Chemistry (CSIC), focused on the design, synthesis, and pharmacological evaluation of new chemical entities as potential drugs for neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer's disease. She received honours for this project. At present, she is performing scientific research at the Institute of Fundamental Physics (IFF, CSIC) in the Department of Atomic, Molecular, and Surface Processes (PAMS) with Prof. María Pilar de Lara-Castells, leader of the AbinitSim Unit. At present (September 2020), she has co-authored five outstanding papers.
